DESCRIPTION:Andreas Schaerer (vocals, percussion, drobna zvočila), Bänz Oester (kontrabas, tolkala)With an amazing vocal, the sound of double bass and “world music” traditions, Andreas Schaerer and Bänz Oester put a spell on their audience. Their stories, expressed through music, include famous tales from operas, comics and world literature. They use a wide range of vocal techniques and double bass. Schaerer’s vocal ranges from Mongolian throat singing, baroque techniques, highland yodelling to imitating jazz techniques. The double bass can transform into a percussion instrument or a “walking bass”.  Their natural, virtuosic and naive music creates a unique fairytale of sounds with various music traditions.Project co-financed by the Swiss Arts Council ProHelvetia.
