They were known for provocative and politically engaged songs and billed themselves “The First Punk Band Behind The Iron Curtain” (though actually the non-aligned Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia was not behind the Iron Curtain). They are one of the most important former Yugoslav Punk rock groups and one of the first punk rock bands ever formed in a socialist state.\n\n \n\nRES NULLIUS\n\nZoran Benčič (vocals), Boštjan Senegačnik (guitar), Janez Marin (drums), Boštjan Časl (bass)\n\nRes Nullius is a rock’n’roll band from Velenje in Slovenia. They started their career in 1991 and their first gig was in their hometown Velenje. In 1992 they played on the same festival as Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds and their first album “No One Can Like The Drummer Man” in 1993 was considered one of the best rock’n’roll products in the last few years in former Yugoslavia.
