MARC RIBOT Y LOS CUBANOS POSTIZOS (USA, CUB)

A visit to New York is not complete without attending this band’s concert.  Los Cubanos Postizos used to be an ultimate party-band that performed hits of Cuban musician Arseniao Rodriguez. This summer, they will return to European stages after a long break.

Marc Ribot decided to gather the all-star cast and add Latin elements to their repertoire.  Some of the most popular magazines in the world refer to Ribot as one of the most unique guitarists and the inventor or dirty sound in American music. He cooperated with famous musicians, such as Tom Waits, Elton John, Solomon Burke, Lounge Lizards, Marianne Faithful, Medeski Martin & Wood, Caetono Veloso, Norah Jones, The Black Keys, John Zorn and many more.

If there is such thing as a party in jazz, than Marc Ribot and his Cuban cast know how to start it.
