The Skatalites have been setting new records in the music industry since 1964. They’ve worked with all musicians and producers in Jamaica. Yes, all: Bob Marley, Jimmy Cliff, Toots and The Maytalls, Prince Buster, Ken Boothe, Alton Ellis, to name a few. Even though their band lasted only one year, the members remained active in music. They reformed in 1983 and have played together ever since. Ladies and gentlemen, put on your dancing shoes and celebrate the 20th anniversary of Festival Lent by visiting the history of Jamaican music.
