DESCRIPTION:THE ARTBEATERS \n\nPeter Ugrin (violin), Aleš Ogrin (keyboards), Jani Hace (bass), Anže Žurbi (drums)\n\nThe music created by The Artbeaters is based on jazz, which is no surprise, considering the fact that the members of the band are academically educated musicians. However, you won't find a trace of traditional jazz in their musical arrangements. They cannot define themselves in terms of any genre, as their music encompasses d'n'b, reggae, fusion, funk, house, afro beat, jazz, rock, ... The best term to describe it is fusion, and the tunes they produce are complex, yet listenable. What is most important, though, beside the originality of the band's compositions, is that on stage they generate an energy that fills the whole room. The response of their audience at the concerts has so far always been amazingly positive.\n\nThe Artbeaters can be described as a very serious Slovenian musical project. In 2012, they plan to release their debut album. At the beginning of May this year, they participated in an international competition for young jazz musicians in Bucharest, and were awarded the first prize.\n\nHOUSE MOVEMENT\n\nAna Praznik (vocals), Tim Bridges (guitar), Mario Pevec (bass), DJ Luke (rhythm mashines, effects)\n\nFusing styles of funk, disco, jazz and more with contemporary dance and breakbeat rhythms, House Movement tries to find a balance between traditional composition and performance methods with the upbeat punch of more modern DJ style productions. Most of all, they just want to make you dance!\n\n\n\n
