Donkey is a poetic performance talking about a little man who decides to revolt. It is a tale told through a series of images of loneliness. Although it is set in timelessness, it takes the viewers and the performers through a number of suggestive images of betrayal committed by the humanity and the state, to the spectacular ending with symbolic death and immediate deliverance. The story of the Donkey is narrated by five characters on stilts. It is all in all an attractive street theatre performance in the most noble meaning of the word – it is created for public squares and streets, and puts to use the specific architecture and atmosphere of the urban environment. The performance is in Italian but knowledge of Italian is not necessary.
