Based on his brilliant new album of solo piano (A Fable on Universal Jazz France), a French Grammy award (International Album With French Production), his collaborations with several top-tier musicians, such as Trilok Gurtu and Dhafer Youssef, international performances at the Montreux Jazz Festival, and accolades from jazz piano legends Herbie Hancock and Chick Corea, the year 2011 proved to be a banner year for the young Armenian pianist who is now based in the U.S. “It was an intense year,” he says, “with a lot of things happening, it seems, all at once.”

Tigran is even being compared to Keith Jarret, since they both have the ability to create pure beauty out of small pieces. His emotional and strong music certainly points out that Tigran's virtuosity is accompanied by his creativity and that he is one of the most promising young musicians of our time.
