DEN7EL a.k.a. Denis Honsić is a 21 year old student from the town of Novo mesto, who currently lives in Ljubljana. He has always devoted his free time to music and creativity. In the beginning, he focused on writing lyrics and producing rap, but soon he broadened his horizons to include other genres of music. He makes music also as a member of the band GoGs & Band, where he is responsible for editing music videos and creating groundwork for tracks. He became a DJ because of his enthusiasm for music software and for playing music to a large number of people. He has appeared on stages of both smaller and big clubs, and has gained valuable experience by playing at different promotional events. »I have become interested in house music above all because of the energy offered by this genre and an opportunity to express myself in another way. The inspiration for the production of my own house music has come from different world producers, such as Hi Tack, Gramophonedzie, Armand Van Helden, Axwell, Sebastian Ingrosso, Steve Angello, Beltek (Slo),« says Denis. At present, his attention is focused on finishing the production of his first house single intended for the general public. He loves playing punchy dance electronica – from electro to tech and deep house.
QUALIASS
Organic or digital? Why not orgital? Electro or rock? Why not electrock or maybe even rock’n’rave? Natural or urban? And not least, soft or hard?
Combining the dualisms that shape our everyday reality, the new record label from Slovenia, Qualiass Records, set its mission to overcome these distinctions in unifying sound, which encompasses both sides of perception, the bright and the dark side.
Formed in 2010, the label employs longtime friends and like-minded enthusiasts within Adriatic underground to form a musical platform for the refugees from the (mainly disappointing) mainstream flow of creativity.
PLANKTON
DJ PlankTon started his musical journey in 1990. He played a guitar for 5 years, until he heard the Logical Progression from LTJ Bukem, followed by 4Hero, sold his guitar and bought a pair of turntables. He learned basic mixing skills on minimal techno sounds, but d&b was his true love from the beginning, so naturally he advanced to d&b. He's been mixing from the year 99 and performed almost all over Slovenia, Croatia, Austria, Montenegro and Serbia (also two times on Exit festival). Between the years 1999 and 2008 he played powerful d&b, full of technical tricks and schratches. Now he plays hyped breakbeat, similar to the type that he produces with his friend Mike Preeters, under alias BeatMyth.
